Reception at the Embassy of Armenia in India

On October 13, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in India organized a reception on the occasion of the completion of repair and renovation works of the Embassy chancery.

The event was attended by the Pastor of Armenians in India and Manager of the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy Very Rev. Fr. Zaven Yazichyan, wardens of the Church Committee of the Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth Sunil Sobti and Susan Margaret Reuben, chairman Michael Dutt, representatives of the Armenian community in Kolkata and “Armenian-Indian Friendship” and “Armenian Cultural Centre” NGO representatives.

The guests were welcomed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to India Armen Martirosyan, who expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Armenian Community of Kolkata for sponsorship of the renovation works and furnishing of the embassy.

During the event, Very Rev. Fr Zaven Yazichyan performed Home Blessing ceremony, which was followed by symbolic tree planting at the courtyard of the Embassy.
