Visit of Ambassador A. Martirosyan to Kolkata

On January 29-31, Ambassador of Armenia in India Armen Martirosyan paid working visit to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. In the course of his visit, the Ambassador had meetings with the representatives of the Armenia-Indian community and visited Armenian Philanthropic Academy founded in 1821, where currently around 50 students from Armenia and Iran pursue their secondary education. Ambassador Martirosyan also visited three Armenian churches situated in the city. During the meeting with the Diaspora representatives, the problems related to the restoration and preservation of Armenian cultural heritage in India were discussed.
