The seventh session of the Armenian - Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, Cultural and Educational Cooperation was held in Yerevan on April 01, 2016. The session was co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Robert Harutyunyan and Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India Sujata Mehta.

With participation from concerned ministries and agencies, the two sides discussed the accomplishments of the Armenian-Indian cooperation in their respective fields during the last three years and identified the main directions and objectives of further cooperation.

Information technology, education, science and agriculture sectors were assessed as the most promising in terms of bilateral cooperation and several concrete agreements were reached in that respect. At the end of the visit, Indian official delegation visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and laid a wreath at the Armenian Genocide Victims Memorial.
