28th Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific

On 12 December 2023, the Ambassador of Armenia to India, Vahagn Afyan participated in the 28th meeting of the Governing Board of the UN Affiliated Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP) at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru, where Armenia was represented for the first time.

As Armenia’s representative at the meeting, Ambassador Afyan delivered a speech welcoming Armenia's accession and membership to the Board and emphasized the steps taken by the Armenian side in this field, as well as the steps taken in the direction of legal and international collaborations and future cooperation.
Ambassador Afyan also visited the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), and got acquainted with the activities of the center which was responsible for the successful landing of the Indian Chandrayaan-3 lunar rover on the surface of the Moon's south pole in August this year.
