Armenian Agriculture Minister received Indian businessmen in Yerevan

On May 25 the Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan received the delegation of Indian «NEL group» and «YNG group» companies headed by their Director Yashoda Nand Gupta. The guests arrived in Armenia within the framework of the agreements reached in February during the official visit of the Agriculture Minister to India.

During the meeting the parties discussed the possibility of the import of Indian agriculture machinery, particularly tractors, to Armenia. In this regard the minister emphasized the importance of insuring affordable prices of agriculture machinery for Armenian farmers, its high quality and after sale maintenance and services.

The partiers also touched upon the possibility of export of Armenian wines to Indian market. Indian businessman visited a number of wineries, got acquainted with the production process and jointly with the Union of Winemakers of Armenia outlined further steps in this direction.
