28 September, 2016

On September 28, the Armenian-Indian business forum was launched at the "Yerevan" hotel in the capital of Armenia. The forum was attended by 13 businessmen from the southern states of India who represented various sectors of economy. They arrived in Armenia to study the country's investment potential as well as the possibilities of entering the Eurasian Economic Union market through Armenia. The forum was organized by the Embassy of Armenia in India and the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in Chennai, jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan, Indian Ambassador to Armenia Yogeshwar Sangwan and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Andranik Alexanyan welcomed the participants of the inaugural event. After the opening ceremony,  the working session of the forum got underway, during which the Indian and Armenian businessmen at B2B meetings discussed the prospects of cooperation.
