Ambassador A.Martirosyan Pays Working Visit to Chennai

On February 03, within the framework of the working visit to Chennai, Ambassador A. Martirosyan met with the management and the members of the academic board of the Anna University, Chennai and discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Anna University and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

During the discussion, Ambassador Martirosyan presented the academic and scientific potential of Armenia's leading engineering university and answered the questions. While presenting their university, the Indian side highlighted the fact that Anna University has entered the Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) World University Rankings by securing the 293rd position. With over 600,000 students, it is currently one of the largest universities in the world. In the course of discussions, the parties agreed to organize mutual study visits of the university representatives to determine the most promising areas of future cooperation.On

February 04, Ambassador Martirosyan took part at the liturgy organized at the St. Mary Armenian Church of Chennai, which was attended by Armenians living in Tamil Nadu and neighboring states, as well as other Christians. After the service, Ambassador Martirosyan had a meeting with the representatives of the Indo-Armenian community and discussed issues related to the preservation of this historic church.
