The 25th Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia is celebrated in New Delhi

On September 21, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in India jointly with the New Delhi's Armenian Cultural Centre organized anPhoto Exhibition titled " Old and New Armenia" dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Armenia's Independence.

The event was attended by the representatives of Armenian community in India and Indian intelligentsia, Honorary Consul of Armenia in Chennai ShivkumarEashwaran as well as former IndianAmbassadors to Armenia V.B. Soni, Reena Pandey and Achal Malhotra.

25 photographs of Armenian cultural heritage monuments were presented at the exhibition.

The Ambassador of Armenia to India Armen Martirosyanwere welcomed the guests, who also addressed the gathering conveying their congratulations to the people of Armenia.

The same day also marked the first year anniversary of the establishment of the "Armenian Cultural Centre" NGO. The President of the organization GayaneMovsisyan informed the guests about the programs introducing Armenian Culture in India, which are implemented in collaboration with the Embassy of Armenia in India.

The photo exhibition will also be displayed at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in New Delhi.
