Armenian community of India sponsors Gevorg Dadasyan's treatment

On July 29, Sergeant of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defence Army Gevorg Dadasyan, who was injured in the line of contact in November 2016, arrived in Kolkata, accompanied by his mother. Sergeant Dadasyan lost his right arm during service in defense of the homeland. He will undergo arm prostheses fitting at «Ottobock» , which is one of the best medical facilities in India. The treatment, travel and living expenses are fully sponsored by the Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth of Kolkata.

Last year, the senior lieutenant of the Armenian Armed Forces Sargis Gabrielyan underwent similar treatment at the same reputed medical centre. At the airport Sergeant Gevorg Dadasyan was received by the representatives of the Embassy of Armenia in India and Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy of Kolkata. Throughout the course of his treatment, G. Dadasyan and his mother will stay at the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy. On the same day, the Armenian College hosted dinner in honour of the guests from Armenia, which was attended by the committee members of the Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth, embassy representative, school teachers and students.

Pastor of Indian-Armenian Spiritual Pastorate, Manager of Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy and Davidian Girls’ School of Kolkata Very Reverend Father Movses Sargsyan welcomed the guests and wished speedy recovery to the Armenian soldier.
