Development of the Armenian Telemedicine Network Discussed

On April 30, Ambassador of Armenia to India Armen Martirosyan visited Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, with the aim to get acquainted with India’s expertise in the field of telemedicine.

Ambassador Martirosyan presented Indian experts the current state of the telemedicine network in Armenia. The professorial staff of the Institute introduced the activities of the Indian leading telemedicine centre and expressed readiness to support the effective exploitation of the Armenian telemedicine network.

The Indian side also expressed willingness to conduct correspondence courses with the participation of the best Indian specialists, contributing to the dissemination of the best practices among students of the Yerevan State Medical University. The YSMU Indian Alumni Association will also participate in this initiative.
