YSMU establishes contact with Indian leading medical research centre

28 June, 2018

To implement the agreements reached during the recent visit of the Ambassador of Armenia to India A. Martirosyan to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, on June 27, the Vice-Rector of the Yerevan State Medical University Y. Sahakyan visited Lucknow and held in depth discussions with the leadership of that leading Indian research organization.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the training of medical professionals in the various fields as well as, using the advanced technical capabilities of the institute, to create a joint telemedicine network. It will enable two institutions to exchange their experiences, to   diagnose and treat the cases, as well as to establish the remote communication during surgical interventions requiring high-tech solutions.

President of the YSMU Indian Alumni Association D. S. Chauhan accompanied Y. Sahakyan during the visit.
