Armenian dolls and fairy tales presented to Indian children

16 April, 2019

On April 16, the members of New Delhi’s Armenian Cultural Center NGO and the Ambassador of Armenia to India Armen Martirosyan met with the managers of Shankar Children's Center and discussed the avenues of cooperation.

During its 62 years of existence, this center has become one of the leading child creative and cognitive development institutions of Delhi. There are about 7,000 dolls from 85 countries exhibited at the center. Its library gives Indian children an opportunity to get acquainted with the fairy tales of different nations around the globe.

The representatives of the Armenian community donated Armenian traditional dolls as well as the collection of Hovhannes Tumanyan's fairy tales to the center. Ambassador Martirosyan presented the policies of child creative development in Armenia and proposed to establish cooperation between the two countries in this sphere.
