Health Minister of Armenia takes part at GAVI Alliance Board Meeting at New Delhi

On December 02-05, Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Torosyan paid a working visit to India to participate at the GAVI Vaccine Alliance Board Meeting as a board member.

During the course of his visit Minister Torosyan had a meeting with his Indian counterpart, Minister of Health and Family Welfare of India Harsh Vardhan and discussed the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare.

Arsen Torosyan highlighted Armenia's interest in the areas of medical education, doctors' exchange, as well as in the field of pharmacy. Giving his concent, Minister Harsh Vardhan further proposed to view India as a medical tourism hub.

In keeping with the established tradition, the Embassy of Armenia in India organized the meeting of the Cabinet member with the representatives of the Armenian community in New Delhi who were briefed about the ongoing health reforms in Armenia and addressed their questions to the Minister.
