Armenian artists participate in the 34th Surajkund Mela

03 February, 2020

On February 01, President of India inaugurated the 34th edition of Surajkund International Crafts Mela - the largest international crafts fair in the world held annually in Faridabad, Haryana.

Armenia's participation in this important cultural festival has become a welcome tradition. This year, the Armenian delegation is unprecedentedly representative.

The master craftsmen Armenuhi Khachatryan, Armine Poghosyan, and Maral Shekhumelian present their handicrafts to the guests at the Armenian pavilion.

For the first time, the festival also features Armenian folk performing arts presented by Kayt Ensemble, under the direction of Koryun Davtyan.

The Ambassador of Armenia to India Armen Martirosyan, Embassy staff and the representatives of the Armenian community visited the festival and got acquainted with the popular Armenian pavilion.

The event will run until February 16.
