On April 24, the Embassy of Armenia in India jointly with the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) organized an interactive session titled "Cooperation on the Armenian Genocide: History and Perspective” to mark the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In view of the lockdown measures for containment of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the interactive session was held through video conferencing.

The Director of the Vivekananda Foundation Dr. Anand Gupta made introductory remarks which was followed by Ambassador Armen Martirosyan`s statement. Professor of the Centre for International studies of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Ashwini Mohapatra and co-editor of the first Hindi book on Armenian Genocide, famous poet, freelance writer and social activist Dr. Suman Keshari participated at the conference and delivered speeches. YSU (Yerevan State University) lecturer and genocide expert Dr. Suren Manukyan joined the conference from Armenia and briefed the participants of the video conference on the history of the Armenian Genocide and the current problems of its international recognition.

At the end of the discussion, some participants of the video conference addressed their questions to the Armenian speakers of the conference.

Within the framework of the commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Ambassador Armen Martirosyan gave interviews to the Indian "StratNews Global" and "Rajya Sabha TV" television channels.
